Comparative Evaluation of Letrozole, L-Carnitine, and Combination Therapy on Sperm Quality and ART Outcomes in Idiopathic Oligoasthenoteratozoospermia: A Three-Arm Randomized Trial

The study compared the effectiveness of three different treatment approaches in men with idiopathic oligoasthenoteratozoospermia, a condition characterized by low sperm count, reduced motility, and abnormal sperm morphology. Patients were divided into three groups: the first group received letrozole at a dose of 2.5 mg, the second group received L-carnitine, and the third group received combination therapy. The primary objective of the study was to evaluate the impact of these treatment modalities on sperm quality and assisted reproductive technology outcomes. The study was conducted at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and was successfully completed. The research focused on male infertility and sought effective pharmacological solutions to improve sperm parameters.
