The Potential Cardioprotective Effect of Addition of Atorvastatin in Breast Cancer Patients

This clinical research addresses the potential cardioprotective effect of adding the drug atorvastatin in breast cancer patients. The main goal of the study was to investigate whether atorvastatin can protect the heart from damage. The research specifically focused on cardiomyopathy induced by doxorubicin treatment, which is a serious complication affecting the heart muscle. The drug atorvastatin was used as the primary intervention in this study. The sponsor and organizer of this scientific project was Damanhour University. According to the available information, this clinical research is currently already completed. The study connects oncological treatment of breast cancer with the prevention of heart diseases caused by chemotherapy.
