Tretie vydanie Slovenského farmaceutického kódexu prináša ešte vyšší štandard pre individuálne pripravované lieky

On July 15, 2026, the third edition of the Slovak Pharmaceutical Code (SFK) was published, which is a set of binding standards for all pharmacies in the manufacture of individually prepared medicines. These medicines are prepared by pharmacists directly in pharmacy laboratories tailored specifically for each patient and are not subject to registration, with their quality and safety guaranteed by the standards set out in the European Pharmacopoeia and SFK. The new edition is divided into two parts: the General Part containing General Provisions and translations of basic analytical methods, and the Special Part with updated requirements for the preparation, control, and storage of active substances and medicines. The Code is published by the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the State Institute for Drug Control based on Act No. 362/2011 Coll. on medicines and medical devices. The Ministry of Health measure from June 24, 2026, enters into force on July 15, 2026, and repeals the previous second edition from 2015.
