Testy z Německa promluvily: Žena převezená na Bulovku nemá ebolu ani jinou nebezpečnou nákazu

A woman hospitalized at Prague's Faculty Hospital Bulovka since Saturday upon returning from Uganda does not have Ebola or any other dangerous infectious disease. Laboratory samples were evaluated overnight by the Koch Institute in Berlin, which tested a range of tropical diseases including Ebola. The woman moved approximately 700 kilometers away from the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the probability of infection was low according to epidemiological investigation. She stayed there for approximately two weeks on an organized tour and had no contact with local residents. She returned on July 29 and three days later contacted an infectious disease clinic. The woman acted exemplarily and reported herself by phone before going to the hospital, describing her symptoms and travel history. In neighboring Congo, there have been over 3,500 cases of Ebola during recent months with 1,556 deaths.
