DŮLEŽITÉ UPOZORNĚNÍ PRO TKÁŇOVÁ ZAŘÍZENÍ – CENTRA ASISTOVANÉ REPRODUKCE

An important alert has been issued for tissue establishments and assisted reproduction centers. It concerns a rapid alert in the RATC system regarding sperm from donor FINN/2771 from Cryos International. A variant in the COL3A1 gene (c.1024G>A, p.(Gly342Arg)) was identified in two children conceived using this donor's sperm. According to available information, the children currently show no symptoms of the disease associated with this variant. The donor himself is healthy and without any disease symptoms. Danish authorities have confirmed that the sperm of the mentioned donor were also distributed to the Czech Republic. This alert was published by the Department of Supervision over Biological Material Processing on 03.08.2026.
