Profesor Táborský odešel z ústecké Masarykovy nemocnice

Professor Miloš Táborský terminated his position as head of the Cardiology Clinic at Masaryk Hospital in Ústí nad Labem on July 31, 2025, based on a mutual agreement. He joined the hospital in April 2025 from Olomouc University Hospital, where he worked for sixteen years. His departure is connected to a case involving cardiac defibrillators under investigation by police and the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office. According to suspicions, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) were implanted between 2015 and 2025 to patients who did not meet the indication criteria, with an estimated hundreds of cases involved. The Ministry of Health estimates the possible damage at over 150 million crowns. Professor Táborský acknowledges he may have made mistakes in individual cases but categorically denies systemic misconduct. Radim Špaček temporarily replaced him as head of the clinic.
