A Study to Evaluate the Dentinal Hypersensitivity Efficacy of Two Experimental Mouthwash Formulations

The study evaluated the efficacy of two experimental mouthwash formulations in treating dentinal hypersensitivity. Three formulations were tested: a mouthwash containing 3% KNO3, a mouthwash containing 2% HPC, and a control mouthwash without KNO3. The study was sponsored by HALEON and has been completed. Dentinal hypersensitivity is a condition characterized by tooth pain in response to external stimuli. The research focused on comparing the effectiveness of individual formulations in alleviating symptoms of this condition. The study represents an attempt to develop new therapeutic options in oral care.
