Nebulized Lidocaine And Ketamine Before Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy

This information pertains to the use of nebulized lidocaine and ketamine. These substances are administered before a procedure called fiberoptic bronchoscopy (FOB). The aim is patient premedication, meaning preparation before the procedure. Relevant conditions include fiberoptic bronchoscopy itself and the diagnosis of lung cancer. The study investigated various interventional approaches. Specifically, the administration of nebulized lidocaine and ketamine together was compared. Furthermore, the use of nebulized lidocaine alone and also 2% lidocaine spray was evaluated. The project was sponsored by Alexandria University and is already completed.
