This article discusses a study investigating the effect of viewing a standardized surgical procedure video on preoperative anxiety. The study focused on women undergoing benign hysterectomy. The main objective was to determine whether watching a video could reduce anxiety levels before surgery. Two interventions were compared within the study. One involved viewing a specific surgical video. The other was standard preoperative counseling. The condition being investigated was the preoperative anxiety experienced by patients. The study was sponsored by Hacettepe University and has been completed.
