Myofascial Pain Syndrome is a common condition affecting 30-93% of patients with musculoskeletal pain. The study examined the efficacy of Himalayan Shilajit at 250 mg daily as add-on therapy in 76 patients aged 18-65 years over 49 days. The primary objective was to achieve at least 30% pain reduction on a visual analog scale. Results showed that 73.7% of patients achieved the primary endpoint, with mean pain intensity decreasing from 6.63 to 3.63 points (45.3% reduction). Analgesic consumption decreased by 75.5% and trigger point count reduced by 23.4%. First signs of pain relief appeared on Day 24. The safety profile was favorable, with only one mild adverse event. The findings suggest the need for confirmation in a larger randomized controlled trial.
