The article provides a comprehensive overview of preventive examinations that women are entitled to free of charge from public health insurance. A general preventive check-up with a general practitioner is performed once every two years and includes laboratory tests such as blood count, liver tests, blood sugar level, and lipid profile. Dental check-ups are covered once a year, and gynecological check-ups also once a year from age 15 with cervical cancer screening. From 2026, the scope of preventive check-ups has been expanded to include more detailed medical history, including screening for mental and hereditary diseases. For women aged 18-39, check-ups include EKG examination, cholesterol and blood sugar monitoring at specified intervals. Women aged 40-49 are entitled to similar examinations with adjusted intervals. HPV screening tests are performed at ages 35, 45, and 55.
