Caritas Czech Republic, through its "Caritas for Ukraine" collection, will support the development of mental health care in western Ukraine. The main goal is the renovation of the Mental Health Center for Children and Adolescents in Lviv. This information was announced by Zuzana Haniková, manager of foreign communication for Caritas Czech Republic. Ukraine has been facing a Russian invasion since February 2022, which significantly increases the need for psychosocial support. The new center will be part of the Pediatric Medicine Clinic in Lviv, which has been operating for 18 years. It will be equipped with modern therapeutic aids, including virtual reality technologies. The total amount of support for mental health care will reach almost ten million Czech crowns over the next 12 months. Caritas Czech Republic has a long-term presence in Ukraine, also assisting displaced people and communities.
