CapVest Partners-backed Curium has agreed to acquire US-based radiopharmaceutical company Lantheus in an all-cash transaction worth up to $8 billion. Curium US will purchase all outstanding shares of Lantheus for $102.50 per share, with shareholders eligible to receive an additional $12.00 per share if certain commercial milestones are met by 2030. The offer represents a 38% premium to the 60-day volume-weighted average price. The combined entity will operate in oncology, neurology, and cardiology across more than 70 countries, integrating the radiopharmaceutical operations of both companies. The transaction has received unanimous approval from Lantheus' Board of Directors and is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approval and shareholder approval.
