This article discusses the use of a plaque-disclosing agent for improved plaque control in patients suffering from gingivitis. Gingivitis is an inflammation of the gums often caused by insufficient oral hygiene and the accumulation of dental plaque. The study aimed to enhance oral hygiene and, consequently, plaque control. The intervention involved oral hygiene instructions assisted by a three-tone plaque-disclosing agent. This agent visualizes plaque, helping patients better understand where cleaning needs improvement. The study focused on the conditions of plaque control and gingivitis infection. The project was sponsored by Atlas University and has been completed.
