Effects of a Lateral Position With Hip Flexion and Femoral Internal Rotation During the Second Stage of Labor in Nulliparous Women Receiving Epidural Analgesia

The study examined the effects of a specific lateral position with hip flexion and femoral internal rotation during the second stage of labor in nulliparous women receiving epidural analgesia for pain relief. The research compared this specialized position with a conventional lateral position. The study focused on women experiencing their first delivery who received epidural analgesia. The objective was to determine whether a specific body position has an impact on the progression of the second stage of labor. The research was conducted at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University. The study has been completed and its findings may contribute to improved labor care.
