This project investigated the application of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) within the context of medical education. The primary objective was to test a specific multimodal framework named CerViD. The study compared two distinct educational interventions for medical students. One intervention involved a traditional lecture module focused on artificial intelligence. The second intervention consisted of an interactive module enhanced with the principles of explainable AI, specifically utilizing the CerViD-MultiModal framework. The project received financial support from the University of Liberia and the National Institute on Aging (NIA). This research study has been successfully completed.
