Ciprofol Versus Propofol With Low-Dose Sufentanil for Painless Bronchoscopy

The study compared the efficacy and safety of two sedative agents - ciprofol and propofol combined with low-dose sufentanil - for performing bronchoscopy. Bronchoscopy is a medical procedure in which a thin tube with a camera is inserted into the airways for visual examination. Sedation is pharmacological suppression of consciousness that makes the procedure painless and more tolerable for patients. Ciprofol is a newer sedative that has been introduced into clinical practice in recent years. The study was conducted at Wenzhou Central Hospital and aimed to evaluate whether ciprofol is as effective and safe as traditional propofol with sufentanil for this type of procedure. Results of such comparative studies help physicians select the most appropriate sedation for patients.
