A new study investigated the connection between beverage consumption and the risk of high blood pressure. It focused on individuals who consumed sugar-sweetened beverages and fruit juices. The study observed their consumption patterns from childhood through adulthood. Results indicated that higher consumption of these drinks is associated with an elevated risk. Specifically, these individuals were found to have a greater likelihood of developing high blood pressure. This association begins in childhood and continues into adulthood.
