The study examined the impact of supervision during aerobic exercise on patients' physical fitness and clinical outcomes. The research team compared results between supervised and unsupervised exercise groups during training programs. The heterogeneity of available studies limits the certainty of evidence for preoperative exercise. The type of supervision during exercise was identified as an important factor whose impact on patient outcomes had not yet been adequately clarified. The systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to fill this knowledge gap. The study results may help determine the optimal approach to supervising exercise programs.
