Reakce na článek Deníku N „Obří reforma ochrany veřejného zdraví“

The State Institute of Health (SZÚ) responds to criticism from docent Rastislav Maďar, advisor to the Minister of Health and head of the working group for public health reform. SZÚ strongly refutes the claim that it communicates its objections through the media. The article in Deník N, to which the response refers, was based on an internal email from docent Maďar, and the editorial office did not contact SZÚ for a statement. SZÚ representatives are members of the aforementioned working group and regularly communicate their comments on the reform directly within it. Their detailed comments on the reform were communicated already in May and are publicly available on the website of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. SZÚ expresses concerns that the reform could destabilize the existing public health protection system and lead to the departure of qualified experts. Some highly qualified middle management experts are already leaving due to uncertainty about the reform's impacts. SZÚ hopes that all ambiguities will be resolved within the working group before the law is submitted for public comment.
