Mode of anaesthesia and persistent postoperative opioid use

The article examines the relationship between the type of anaesthesia used and long-term opioid use following surgical procedures. The study investigates how different anaesthetic methods may influence the risk of persistent opioid dependence in the postoperative period. Research indicates that the choice of anaesthetic technique can have a significant impact on the need for opioid analgesia after surgery. The aim is to identify which anaesthetic methods are associated with lower risk of prolonged opioid use.
