Implementation and Assessment of a Medication Therapy Management Program in HIV Patients at High Risk of Adverse Drug Events at Khartoum, Sudan

This text describes a study focused on the implementation and assessment of a Medication Therapy Management (MTM) program. The program was designed for patients infected with HIV who faced a high risk of adverse drug reactions. The study took place in Khartoum, Sudan, with the aim of improving patient treatment and safety. Within the study, two forms of intervention were tested: basic medication therapy management and enhanced medication therapy management. Both interventions were behavioral in nature, focusing on changes in behavior and approach to treatment. The project was sponsored by Universiti Sains Malaysia and the Federal Ministry of Health, Sudan. According to the available information, the study has been successfully completed, indicating that its results should be available.
