Hepatitis A cases in the Czech Republic continue to decline. Since the beginning of the year, more than 1,400 people have been infected with this disease. Last year, the State Health Institute recorded the highest number of patients since the 1980s. However, the decline in reported infections does not affect all regions equally. The Ústí and South Moravian regions show the opposite trend with increasing case numbers. The spread and decline of hepatitis A is influenced by various factors.
