Correction: Extensive pneumocephalus in a fatal central nervous system infection caused by NDM-1–producing carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae: a case report

This article is a correction to an original case report on extensive pneumocephalus in a central nervous system infection. The infection was caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria producing the NDM-1 enzyme and resistant to carbapenems. The article was published in Frontiers in Medicine in September 2026.
