Ohrožení domácí péče v Česku? Charita varuje před novinkou u praktických lékařů

The Czech Caritas warns that introducing field nurses in general practitioners' offices could destabilize the existing home healthcare system in the Czech Republic. It fears the creation of two parallel systems and a shortage of healthcare workers. The Ministry's goal is to support nursing visits for patients registered in medical offices, particularly elderly and chronically ill patients. Home care cost 6.045 billion crowns in 2024, with costs increasing by 85 percent over five years. General practitioners claim this is a misunderstanding, as nurses from their offices have traditionally visited patients at home. Czech Caritas in 2025 provides home healthcare through 78 centers with 914 nurses serving over 52,000 patients.
