The study evaluated the impact of accelerated whole-body diffusion-weighted MRI with deep learning reconstruction in patients with metastatic prostate cancer. The research involved two patient cohorts – the first group (10 patients) participated in qualitative image quality assessment, and the second group (20 patients) in comparison of ADC values between standard and accelerated protocols. The accelerated protocol with deep learning reduced scanning time by 37 percent without compromising image quality. Radiologists consistently rated both protocols as good to excellent across all image quality metrics. Median ADC values in lesions showed no significant difference between protocols. The study conclusion confirms that deep learning-based reconstruction enables faster scanning without negative impact on image quality or ADC measurement accuracy.
