The study investigated the efficacy of autologous PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection in 112 patients with degenerative lumbar disc disease. Patients were divided into two groups: the control group (56 patients) received only celecoxib, while the observation group (56 patients) received PRP injection combined with celecoxib. The observation group achieved higher overall efficacy (94.96% vs. 82.14%). Both groups showed improvement in pain, lumbar function, and reduction of inflammatory markers, with the observation group achieving greater improvement. Adverse effects were similar in both groups (8.93% vs. 14.29%). The combination of PRP injection with celecoxib provides short-term pain relief and functional improvement without increasing adverse reactions; however, longer-term follow-up is needed to determine the durability of effects.
