Pacientským spolkům vyplatí VZP jen 10 namísto 30 milionů korun

The General Health Insurance Company of the Czech Republic (VZP ČR) will pay patient organizations only 10 million crowns instead of the originally planned 30 million crowns by the end of the year. The reduction is due to a change in the law's interpretation by the Ministry of Health, which mandated a more restrictive interpretation. According to the new interpretation, 5% from the Fund of Publicly Beneficial Activities is calculated from the actual account balance, not from the maximum possible amount. VZP ČR originally planned 30 million crowns based on the maximum possible sum it could deposit into the fund. The Military Health Insurance Company (VoZP) ultimately withdrew from supporting patient organizations. The support can be used for patient education, disease awareness, and rehabilitation stays, but not for the operation of patient organizations themselves.
