Topography Guided Repair Versus TIP for Distal Hypospadias: A Randomized Pilot Trial

The study compared two surgical methods for treating distal hypospadias, a congenital developmental disorder of the urethra. The first method was topography guided repair and the second was tubularized incised plate repair (TIP). This was a randomized pilot trial, meaning patients were randomly assigned to one of two groups. The study was conducted at Alexandria University. The aim was to compare the effectiveness and safety of both surgical approaches in repairing this congenital condition. The study has been completed and its results may help determine the best surgical method for patients with distal hypospadias.
