Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy vs Moderately Hypofractionated IMRT for Localized Intermediate-Risk Prostate Cancer Research Summary

This study aimed to compare two radiotherapy methods. Specifically, it involved stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) and moderately hypofractionated intensity-modulated radiation therapy (MH-IMRT). The goal was to determine if SBRT is superior to MH-IMRT. The quality of life of patients was assessed in terms of urinary and bowel functions. Another monitored parameter was disease-free survival.
