The billing regulation for radiodiagnostics for 2026 anticipates an annual increase in payments of 8.7%, with basic radiology expected to grow by 4.5% and magnetic resonance imaging by 2% following a previous decline of 7.5%. Radiologists were unsuccessful in negotiation rounds with insurers regarding requests for bonuses for forwarding image documentation, eHealth system digitization, or refusing unnecessary examinations. According to the chairman of the Ambulatory Radiology Association Petr Máca, radiological facilities perform these activities free of charge, although they save the system money, and receive no compensation for time and IT infrastructure costs.
