Evaluation of the Efficacy of Blue Laser in the Management of Gingival Hyperpigmentation Using Contact vs. Non-contact Mode

The study evaluated the efficacy of blue laser in treating physiological gingival hyperpigmentation. Two approaches were compared: gingival depigmentation using blue laser in non-contact mode and gingival depigmentation using blue laser in contact mode. The research was conducted at Beirut Arab University. The study has been completed and aimed to determine which of the two modes is more effective in removing dark discoloration of the gums. Gingival hyperpigmentation is a physiological condition that can be aesthetically problematic for patients. The results of this study may help determine the optimal method of using blue laser in this treatment.
