Odbory: Pojišťovny schovávají miliardy na účtech, zatímco nejsou peníze na platy zdravotníků

Czech trade unions claim that health insurance companies are accumulating billions of crowns in accounts instead of using them for healthcare and employee salaries. According to the unions, public health insurance revenues in 2027 should increase by 44.4 billion crowns (7.9%), while healthcare service costs should increase by only 27.1 billion crowns, creating a difference of 17.3 billion crowns. The unions demand a 6% annual increase in healthcare worker salaries, which would require approximately 18.19 billion crowns. They also criticize the proposed 3.5% increase in hospital segment reimbursements and planned cuts of 6.3% for psychiatric hospitals and 4.7% for specialized facilities. They also express concerns about changes in reimbursements for total hip and knee replacements, which could lead to differences in treatment availability and waiting times extending up to three years.
