In residential social service facilities of the Senevida network within the Penta Hospitals CZ group, staff have begun using the TytoCare telemedicine diagnostic kit. This device enables trained nurses to measure vital signs, capture diagnostic images, and securely transmit them online directly to a doctor. Built-in artificial intelligence modules monitor whether examinations are performed properly, verifying aspects such as eardrum image sharpness or the audio quality of lung sounds. The subsequent online consultation with a physician usually takes only a few minutes and enables treatment to be prescribed remotely. During a pilot project conducted across four facilities, nurses carried out more than 400 remote examinations. In more than 90 percent of these cases, an outpatient visit was not needed, and hospitalization was successfully averted in 45 out of 50 monitored serious cases. Using the device, nurses most frequently addressed acute respiratory difficulties, urinary tract infections, skin diseases, eye inflammations, and limb swelling.
