Impact of hysteroscopy on pregnancy outcomes in women with endometriosis-associated infertility undergoing their first frozen-thawed embryo transfer: a retrospective cohort study

The study examined the impact of hysteroscopy on pregnancy outcomes in 220 women with endometriosis-related infertility undergoing their first frozen embryo transfer. Patients were divided into a hysteroscopy group (180 women) and a non-hysteroscopy group (40 women). The hysteroscopy group showed higher clinical pregnancy rates (65.56% versus 42.50%) and higher live birth rates (55.56% versus 35.00%) compared to the non-hysteroscopy group. Hysteroscopic evaluation revealed a high prevalence of intrauterine abnormalities, with lesions detected in 82.78% of cases. No significant differences were found between groups in miscarriage rates, preterm birth rates, or multiple pregnancy rates. The results suggest that hysteroscopic surgery before the first frozen embryo transfer may improve pregnancy outcomes in women with endometriosis.
