The study evaluated the efficacy of combined doxycycline and medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA) therapy in 330 women with chronic endometritis and recurrent reproductive failure. Patients were divided into two groups of 165 women each: one receiving doxycycline alone and the other receiving doxycycline with MPA. Histological cure of endometritis was achieved in 74.1% of women in the doxycycline group and 81.2% in the combined therapy group, which was not a statistically significant difference. Pregnancy occurred in 61.4% of women in the first group and 78.8% in the second group, representing a statistically significant difference. Adverse events occurred in 7.3% of patients in each group and were all mild. The combination of doxycycline and MPA did not significantly increase the cure rate of endometritis but was associated with a higher pregnancy rate without an increase in adverse events.
