Therapeutic Adherence in Type 2 Diabetes

The study titled 'Therapeutic Adherence in Type 2 Diabetes' focuses on improving treatment adherence in patients with this condition. It examines conditions such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, its prevention and control, as well as treatment adherence itself. Within the study, two main intervention groups were tested. The first group (Group I) received periodic motivational and educational messages via the WhatsApp application. The second group (Group II) implemented the SMART method. The aim was to determine how these approaches affect adherence to the therapeutic regimen. The study was sponsored by the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social and has been successfully completed.
