This study focuses on enhancing emotion regulation in children diagnosed with autism. Children with autism often face difficulties in managing their emotions. The research explores the effectiveness of specific interventions to address these challenges. Two primary intervention methods were utilized: Extended Reality (ER) and emotion regulation coaching. Extended Reality involves immersive virtual environments that can be used for therapeutic purposes. Emotion regulation coaching provides direct guidance and strategies for emotional management. The study was sponsored by several institutions, including Johannes Kepler University of Linz, Interdisciplinary Transformation University Austria, and Hospital of St.John of God, Linz. The research has been successfully completed.
