Acupuncture as an Adjunct Treatment for Lateral Epicondylitis

Lateral epicondylitis, commonly known as tennis elbow, is an inflammatory condition affecting the outer side of the elbow. The study examined the effectiveness of acupuncture as an adjunct treatment for this condition. The treatment involved a combination of multiple methods including acupuncture, kinesio taping, wrist orthosis, and a home-based exercise program. The research was conducted by Enver Guven and was successfully completed. This combined approach represents a comprehensive strategy for treating lateral epicondylitis with the goal of improving function and reducing pain.
